L'ETO Coffee

Challenge

L’ETO Coffee aimed to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact without capital investment or disruption to daily operations. Beyond identifying savings, the team needed confidence that implemented measures were correct, effective, and verifiable over time.

Solution

Fewton deployed sub-metering across key equipment to build an accurate, equipment-level energy profile of the site. This was combined with an ongoing support model and two-way communication to ensure that recommended actions were properly implemented and validated in practice.

The approach included:

  • Installation of sub-meters on major energy-consuming equipment.

  • Continuous monitoring to understand usage by system and time of day.

  • Identification of operational inefficiencies requiring no capital investment.

  • Two-way communication with the site team to confirm feasibility and execution.

  • Post-implementation verification to confirm that measures delivered the expected impact.

  • Alignment of findings with sustainability and certification requirements.

Results

23% reduction in overall energy consumption identified and validated through monitoring. A meaningful share of energy consumption occurred outside operating hours.

  • Cooling systems were operating beyond what was required for comfort and weather conditions.

  • Several equipment groups showed elevated baseline consumption that could be reduced through operational changes.

  • Contracted electricity capacity did not reflect actual operational demand.
